Marty Feldman attended high school in Tenafly, New Jersey. In 1982 he received a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and in 1985 he was awarded a law degree from Georgetown University. He is a member of the Florida Bar and has been an adjunct instructor of business law at Lynn University and at Palm Beach Community College. He is a frequent guest speaker, Law Day organizer and scholarship sponsor at Boca Raton and Coral Springs area schools.

In 1985 he began instructing for the SAT, PSAT, ACT, SSAT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT in South Florida and achieved remarkable results. In 1988 he left the full time practice of law to found Marty Feldman SAT Prep. in Boca Raton. He opened the Coral Springs location in 1992
